Changing Default Template for Outlook (Word as Email Editor)

I am currently using Office XP (2002). My question is regarding using Word as my email editor and the normal.dot template in word. Is there anyway to change the default template that the word email editor uses? By default it points to normal.dot For example, I would like to avoid seeing the adobe menu items and personal toolbars that I would normally need when writing a word document. Thanks for your input in advance.
