Word is causing unwanted image attachments in Outlook! Help?

Made some changes to the normal.dot Word template. Since Word is used as an
editing tool in Outlook, the custom bullets created in Word now show up as
attachments in Outlook emails.

Is there any way to remedy this without scrapping the custom Word template?

FYI: using 2003 Word and Outlook.

You could turn Word off as email editor in your Outlook options. You'd still
be able to have some formatting in your messages if you send in html or rtf.
