Hi,

I just installed XP SP2 on my laptop after reformatting.
I have the standar Windows login screen where you click on your name,
also when you shutdown you click on the icon (shutdown, restart,
etc...)

How can I change that to the standard way, like selecting where to
login ( a AD domain, your computer), without registering to a domain?

Thanks,
Dan

How do I disable the Welcome Screen at Logon?:

If you're looking to use the Windows 2000 style logon, do the
following:

Go to Control Panel and double click User Accounts.
Click on "Change the way users log on or off".
Remove the check mark from the box next to "Use the Welcome
Screen".
Hit the Apply Options button.
Close User Accounts.
Restart your computer to see if you get the desired results.

Good luck
