How can I change screen only control of a remote computer so that I can have
complete control of somelses computer?
I need to help at our business and I tried messenger live, but it only gives
me screen control, I need to help with the O/S system at times.
Do I need different software or can remote assistance do it?
The Messenger live says screen only and I don't see any avenue to change that.
I have the remote marked and users added to each computer.

Just what is it you are trying to do that you are unable to do with
Remote Assistance? Like, what kind of O/S assistance are you trying
to do?

Here is a Microsoft discussion about using Remote Assistance:

Maybe you can review your process to make sure it resembles this
article. Are you clicking the Take Control option and is your patient
allowing you to take control?

It would still be good to know what you want to do that you are unable
to do, and if you figure it out.

Google for Teamviewer .

Actually, I followed the procedure in the link to a "T" and tried several
times. I downloaded Windows Live Messenger on both computers and proceded
with the instructions. I had the remote computer ask for assistance, I took
control but could only see the desktop no task bar on the bottom. It only
showed MY task bar not the task bar of the remote computer.
