Hi,

I am working on a laptop - Windows XP Professional. I
have 2 logins on the computer at work. One for
Administration and one for me. I want to give my login
the same rights that the Admin login has. This would
make it easier for loading programs and getting it all
set up. Please advise - step by step.

The computer is also on a Network, but not sure if you
need to know that or not.

Thank you!

Jean,

It is better security practice for having one
administrator assigned on a computer. You still will be
able to install programs but you will be limited to what
you can install. It really depends on whats being
installed and what is going to change on the operating
system. The best way to do this is to log off your
profile and log on as admin and install the application.
It will ask you who will be using the program "Select
all" while installing. Hope this helps.
