Change Paste Defaults

In XP, a paste produces a format from the previous
document. I would prefer to have the default paste
be 'unformatted text.'

Is there somewhere I specify my copy and paste
preferences?

Not even in Unix can you change the copy/paste defaults.
It is "copy" and "paste" like a photograph. The font can
change from document to document.
