Hello

If you do not have the Portuguese language version or the MUI version then you can only change the language by buying the XP in the desired language

Daphne was absolutely correct. After purchasing a portuguese Windows XP
version, perform a clean install (or dual-boot) since you cannot install
another language resource on top of the existing english version unless
you have the MUI version installed. What is so hard to understand?

You cannot upgrade or convert from one language version of the OS to
another, so you'll have to purchase and use the full version of WinXP
(in whatever language you want) to perform a clean installation.

If you want XP in Portuguese, you have to buy a new Portuguese CD. You
cannot convert an English XP into any other language.

If you have the International English language Volume Licensed version
to start with, an add-on may be purchased to provide such functionality.

Again, you can't convert an English version to Portuguese. MUI add-ons
are useless if you have an English OEM or Retail version of Windows XP.
