Centralised profiles on server won`t bee saved when logging out!!

Hi

I have an MS environment (Win2000 work, Win2000 server and win2000 exchange)
All are up to date with patches and SP.

All of mine users have a centralised profile stored on the server. When they
log on they should get the profile that is on the server.

When they do any changes on there profile, example delete 10 folders that
they have made on the desktop, and log out, the profile on the server would
be saved with these changes.

One of my users that have many folders and files on the desktop tries to
delete them, and when he logs out, he get a message that the profile is
being saved to the server.

But when he logs back in again, all the folders and files that he has
deleted are back.

Why won't these folders and files be deleted???

Regards

I would suggest that his profile is not actually updating on the server for
some reason. This can be due to permissions, which are worth checking on the
server folder - the user needs to be the owner of the profile folder.

I have found this problem a number of times when setting up new profiles &
usually ended up manually copying back the profile using the 'Copy To...'
button in System Properties.

Hope this helps.

He got Full Controll on his folder yes, and hi is the owner for that folder
too.

But you do the "Copy to..." just once right, so the user dont haft to do it
every time he logs out ;)
