Windows 2000 Clients in NT4 Domain: Roaming Profiles

S

Hello all. I run an network on a Navy ship of approximately 50
computers with 180 users. We are required to use NT4, so I have set up
every user with their profile path as \\(a seperate 2000 ADV server)
\profiles. When the user logs on, it creates the user's folder in that
share, sets permissions on it (not even I can access it), but the user
can access it when logged in. When the user logs off however, it does
not seem to save the profile to the server, although it takes about 60
seconds to "save settings". Anyone else have this problem or have any
suggestions? I would greatly appreciate it.

Hello (e-mail address removed),

To see the content you can take ownership of the folder and the files in
it, set rights for the administrator and the user with Full control. Then
after logoff check, if the profile is stored. It can take time if the users
store everything on the desktop (large files, pictures etc.)

Best regards
