centinel.vxd/optix virus 2nd attempt

When I shut down my pc a box pops up saying that centinel.vxd is closing
down, I press the end process now button to speed up the process and the pc
closes. When I restart the PC it takes about 5-10 minutes to boot into
desktop. when I am in desktop and try to run my AV software (Panda titanium
2004) the splash screen opens and then hangs for about 45 seconds before
opening the AV GUI. I know that Centinel.vxd is related to my AV software so
I ran a google check on it and I am reading reports that the optix virus is
known to interfere with centinel.vxd. Now I have run a full scan, adaware
with updates, spybot with updates etc etc and there is nothing showing so
how do I get my system to boot properly and how do I know if I actually have
the optix virus or one of its variants?
