Cdr/Cdrw Problems

Does anybody have a clue on why there are some many posts lately
concerning removeable media drives. Is MS at it
again messing with our stuff? Or is it that they are much more common
now and everybody has one? An SP1 problem?
 
I reckon it's just that more major vendors are including
them as a standard component.
