CD-ROM Drive

Hi, I am havin problems with my CD-Dom drive, when i enter My Computer the
CD-ROM drive is not there and when i insert a cd nothing happend.
My brother was tyring 2 install a game and on a support web site it told him
to do as folowing.
Right click My Computer and click manage,click Disk Managment, than right
click CD-Rom dirve and press delet.

I have tried to uninstall and reinstall it but nothing happens.
Please Help!!

It sounds like the Drive might not be getting Power to it, is there any LED
activity on the front of the drive when you try to eject or when the
computer starts up.

Have you installed any new software or hardware recently (prior to the drive
failing), or have you played any Sony Music CD's on your P.C (might sound
stupid but Some Sony CD's secretly installed anti piracy software that could
disable your drive if it wasn't removed correctly)
