CD Drive

Hello,

My CD Drive stopped working....no error messages. It seems
like it's just no longer being read. I figured it was
broken and installed a new one. The first time I
accessed/used the new one, it worked just fine. Subsiquent
accesses didn't work...same symptoms as with the old
drive. Took the new one out and reinstalled the old
one...it worked just fine...the first time. Now back to
same symptoms as before...it's not being read.
any ideas? A million thanks if someone can help!!!!

is it connected to the right ide controller and are the

jumpers set correctly?, do you have dma enabled on the
device? have you overclocked the system, because this can
also effect the cdrom?? hope this helps
