Can't View my WebSite from INSIDE router using Public IP addr

Hi,

I host a Web Site with this configuration: LAN w/ several PCs;
Router, Cable Modem; windows XP Pro; IIS 5.1; no Domain, just a
'workgroup' LAN. The domain name is properly registered, etc; DNS is
handeled by a dynamic DNS outfit (ZoneEdit); the router's NAT-firewall
properly forwards port 80.
And, finally, this problem is * * Intermittent **.

I seem to have a problem of the web site being inaccessible from the
Internet intermittently, without explanation. IIS is currently up
and the site is available, but you cannot see if from an external
location. I *can* see it within the LAN, and most of the time, it is
up and running properly. Also, there is usually no other problem
with my Internet access.

A second problem is that I can only notice the unavailability of the
site when I am on the EXternal side of the router, on say, my office
PC across town.

I can access the site from and PC from within the LAN (by addressing
192.168.x.x, say) so I can tell if IIS is up and running. But, I
can't access the site via the internet from *inside* the LAN by
using its normal web address, though I seriously wish there was a way
to do that. (Making a reference in the HOST file does NOT resolve
that issue!)

The Web Servers's IP is dynamic, but I use a name host for access, and
run a Windows service to ensure the IP of the domain name is kept up
to date. (Besides, the IP hasn't changed in months, anyway.)

Meanwhile, all the settings appear correct. I did write to Linksys a
few days ago, but still haven't gotten a response.

Any ideas?
Thanks,
Michael

I think you cannot access your site with the public address. The only
way is to use an anonymous proxy in your web brother. Your router will
allow you to access your site.
