Can't send. Says Your email account has not been configured?

I have an email account, AOL, Windows Vista on my new Toshiba laptop and
sometimes when I try to send an email I get an error message saying:
You don't have an email account configured and it prompts me to start from
scratch to set up email account. I have sent and received emails.
