Can't send out e-mails in Outloook

When I try to send e-mails out from Outlook I get this message:
Task 'mail.optonline.net - Sending and Receiving' reported error
(0x800CCC78) : 'Unable to send the message. Please verify the e-mail address
in your account properties. The server responded: '

HELP!!!! Thanks

And have you done that? Verified the email address in your account
properties?
