Follow-up to Original Question on Outlook 2002

I have read all that I could find and still don't seem to find a solution to
my problem using 2002 Outlook. I can receive email just find. Changed all the
setting that MS told us to make Hotmail work with Outlook. The error I
receive when sending out a e-mail is: Sending report error 0x800ccc78."
Unable to send message please verify the e-mail address in your account
properties. The server responded: 530.5.7.0 Must issue a STARTTLS command
first.
ALSO:
When I go to e-mail accounts and try sending a test message I receive this
error message. "Send test email message: Unable to send test message please
verify the e-mail address."
And yes I have entered my correct email address, receiving e-mail works just
fine.

Change the port for the SMTP server to 587 and try again.
Also, make sure you have enabled authentication for the SMTP server.

We did have the sever at 587 and also enabled authentications - still does
not work.
