Cannot send/receive email

I am using Outlook 2003 and my ISP is Comcast. I have had this setup for a
while - with no problems. Now I am unable to send/receive emails using
Outlook. I get a send/receive error prompt however it disappears when I
try to click on it. I have also verified all my settings in Outlook with my
ISP. When I run "test account settings" through Tools, it says "Send test
e-mail message: Unable to send test message. Please verify the email address
field." So for some reason it all of sudden is not recognizing my email
address.

I am able to receive mail on Comcast's webmail.

Please help - I absolutely hate the webmail and rely heavily on email for my
work.
Thanks!!!
Michelle

Change Outlook to use port 587 for outgoing email, and ensure that you have
checked the, "My server requires authentication" box in Outlook.

Sorry, my Crystal Ball must be defective; I have no other way to know.
Any other thoughts?

Other than proofing the email address in the field (per the error message),
and verifying that you have the latest Outlook patches applied, I can only
think the following things:

Corrupt personal security certificate. (Delete, if there is one.)

Windows Live One Care. (Uninstall and try again.)

Any other AV. (Disable email scanning. Usually best to uninstall the AV, and
reinstall, paying attention that you don't load the email scanning module
during install.)

Any other security suite. (Firewalls have been known to act up. I don't use
one, other than the native Windows XP firewall. Spam filters have also been
problematic.)
