New e-mail a/c wont send e-mail. OL 2007 on Vista

I have set up another new e-mail account and when I try to send an e-mail I
get te following message. I have made the change suggested belo but still
the e-mail wont send. Any ideas please

Task '(e-mail address removed) - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC78) :
'Cannot send the message. Verify the e-mail address in your account
properties. The server responded: 530 authentication required - Your email
could not be sent. To fix this you must make a simple change to your email

And have you corrected the error as suggested in the error message?

I'm now getting the message below if this spread anymore light on what the
problem may be.

"Task '(e-mail address removed) - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC80) : 'None of
the authentication methods supported by this client are supported by your
server.'"

So what does your ISP say you should use for the authentication settings?

Are you trying to use "Secure Password Authorization"? Most ISP SMTP message
submission server *do not* use SPA.

No I'm not using SPA. My main e-mail account that I'm using is fine. It's the
new account with a different name. I've looked and compared all the setting
on both and to me they look the same.

Brian,
The SMPT box is ticked on my main account and it works fine so I ticked the
box on the new a/c as well. Use same setting as my incoming mail server is
activated by the blue spot. Connect using by local area net work is active.

That doesn't really answer my question. Consult the configuration pages
your ISP provides to make sure the settings are what they should be.
