As before ....
I do not want to have any printer shared but the system refuses to
allow me to set DO NOT SHARE. If I try this setting I get a message
box labelled "Printer Properties" which says "Printer settings could
not be saved. Operation could not be completed."
How can I overcome this?
I have since had this save problem for other printer settings than
SHARE. The message I get refers to some sort of service or server.
The only service I can see is the print spooler and that is running.
Can anyone help.
Thanks.
Zak
BACKGROUND INFO ...
I have eight printers (and faxes) defined in Control Panel > Printers
And Faxes. About half of these are set to SHARE and about half to DO
NOT SHARE.
My machine is a standalone XP+SP1 connected via cable to the Net. I
have administrator privileges and I installed the printer drivers
under my own signon.
