Can't right click or download

About 2 months, I had the "blue screen of death" appear on my screen. A
friend told me to uninstall and reinstall Windows Xp which I did. After the
reinstallation I can no longer right click anything on the internet to do
such things as save or open in new windor nor can i download anything, the
download window comes up and I click open or save but nothing happens. A few
days ago that same blue screen appeared again. What should I do and why cant
I right click or download? I appreciate everyone's help!
