Can't Open Various Attachments

Good Afternoon:

I am supporting an end user who receives messages with an attachment, but he
cannot see or open the attachment. He is able to see the paperclip
indicating that there is an attachment, but he can't see the attachment in
the message. He can only see the attachment when he tries to forward the
message.

I understand that Microsoft Outlook blocks unsafe attachments, such as .exe
files, but this end user is receiving Excel spreadsheets and Word documents!

Any suggestions that you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
