Can't open database on multiple computers

I have recently made modifications to a database, a copy of which has been
placed on the server. Previously, the database could be opened by multiple
users at the same time, but since the changes have been made and the new copy
put into production, only certain computers can open it concurrently.
Specifically, there is only one computer where it can't be opened unless all
other users have closed it. The shortcut is correct, and even when you
navigate to the directory on the server, you can't open it there.

When all other instances are closed, it can be opened, but a message appears
stating that the file is not from a known publisher or some such nonsense.

Any ideas on what might be the problem.

I am having the same problem - made changes 2/25, and could no longer be
accessed by multiple computers on 2/26. I was able to get everyone in at the
same type by having them open it concurrently, but this is getting pretty
annoying.
