Wow! I just started having the same login problem. XP logs
on, then immediately logs back off with "saving settings."
Same as others. Will continue looking for cure. Will let
you know what I find. Thanks...thought it was just me!

The closest I could get to finding a solution is from

another post on here. I went to this site:

section "Logon - Logoff
loop, also caused by BlazeFind"

And it seems to point you to a way to fix it...my problem
cant be solved with this way seeing I think you need the
CD to boot from so you can get into the recovery
console...but I dont have a cd...I bought my pc with xp
already installed...stupid me. So I hope that this helps

Thanks, Alisha. This sounds exactly like the problem. I
tried to follow the instructions included in the site you
pointed me to however I can't boot from the CD (so much
for spending the $$ on software as opposed to it being pre-
loaded). Can't boot, can't access registry, can't do
squat...looks like its toast. So much for XP being able to
fix itself!!! Thanks, anyway.

Do you have Ad-Aware on your computer? it's supposed to
get rid of junk adware, but apparently it can delete some
important things. I think that has been what has happened
to my computer. I'm trying to restore it with my systems
recovery disk, but it hasn't helped yet. Have you had any
luck?
