Can't Load Recovery Console as a Startup option

HI have a EMachine T1100 with the XP Home Edition. I would like to load the
Recovery Console as a Startup option. When I type in the Command prompt (as
reccommended in the Help and Support section) D:\i386\winnt32.exe /cmdcons to
start this process I get a "The system cannot find the path specified"
message. EMachines uses two restore disk to load the OS into the computer and
loads through Symentec Ghost. That is it's not a stanard Windows XP OS disk.
Is there any way around this situation. Thanks in advance

Do a search on your system for the i386 folder. When you find it mark down
the route then click start run\ and type in
D:\i386\winnt32.exe /cmdcons You replace D: with the route to your i386
folder. In my case the exact route is
C:\windows\ServicePackFiles\i386\winnt32.exe /cmdcons
Notice there is a space after the winnt32.exe and before the /cmdcons. That
should do it for you.
