Cant install service pack 4

G

Greg Zielinski

I get an error message when I try to install service pack
4.

"Service Pack 4 Setup Error

An error in updating your system has occurred."

You then select ok and it uninstalls the service pack, so
you can never get it installed. This is a W2K system
obliviously with SP3 installed. Any idea on why I would
not be able to install this. I have downloaded the file
several times from the Microsoft web site and tried both
the network and the express install. Any ideas??

Thanks

Greg,

Please post the last few lines of the svcpack.log file. Anyhow, try
installing in safe mode. Make sure all antivirus is turned off.
