Can't install printer

After I download printer driver BJC-250 in windows XP,
the screen goes blank.
Also, why does the printer power light turn yellow,
instead of green?
I just can't install my printer driver.
Can somebody please help me?

You need to ensure you've remove all traces of any previous install, as per

Then install the software and ONLY connect the printer when the software
tells you to do so.

If the LEDs on the printer are flashing, you need to check the error codes
in your manual to see what they are indicating. Each printer's error codes
have different meanings... count how many 'flashes' there are and whether
they are all the same length.
