Can't install HP k60

I cannot reinstall my HP k60 from the HP disk or download -
keep getting an already installed msg. XP control
panel/add-remove programs indicates that the K60 software
is still on the computer, but won't give the change/remove
options. There are no K60 files in directories and I have
cleaned the registery per HP support's guidance - no
change. Norton clean sweep gives nothing also.

TRY THIS!

I found the answer. Printer is working fine!

Problem is SleepMode in printer. During XP installation,
the printer was ON but went into SleepMode by the time XP
got to installation.

Printer goes into SleepMode after 15 minutes of
Inactivity.

SOLUTION 1: I had to standby and PRESS the bottom buttons
everytime the GREEN light went out.

SOLUTION 2: XP during installation, failed to make the
printer go into READY mode so that it could be updated by
XP. So MS should add that WAKE-UP to a path.

Looks like this could apply to ALL HP printers with
SleepMode!

Sincerely,

John
