cant get zipped files to install

for some reason every file that I download that is a zip file goes through
the setup process and then I get this message..........

This version is outdated please download update from vendor

It does it only on zip files I download exe etc. do fine and its several
apps. so I dont thinkits a problem caused by the version being out of date !

But maybe someone can help Thanks!
 
What ZIP program do you use? THAT is out of date.

XP does uncompress ZIP files, but it doesn't actually open them and install.

Are you uncompressing BEFORE installing, or just double clicking the ZIP and
running the Install from there?
