Encryption software help

I hope this is ok to ask this here, I need a free program to encrypt a
folder and make it as an exe file that when opened will ask for a password
and then decrypt the contents to the hdd, the folder will be big at about
1.4gig. I tried to use something called "Ashampoo Privacy Protector" it
worked great but it can only handle small files and folders @ about 150Mb. I
looked at a website http://freeware.intrastar.net/encryption.htm but I dont
think any are what I need. I have ZipGenius5 but I cant get it to work with
the password option. I dont want to use a zip program with a password option
as I dont like this because you can still view what files are in the zip
file if you double click it. I dont want the virtual drive type with the
mounting a drive to put all files into it.

So just something that can make an executable file with a password without
needing the main software to decript the exe file.

Thanks all
