Can't find return receipt reply in outbox

I have a mail account which is incoming only. when someone sends me an
email with a return receipt reply I will get a send/receive error that the
outgoing server can't be found. I can't find the return reply in my outbox
to delete it. Where is it and how would I stop it from trying to send at
every send/receive?

Can't help you on the existing ones, but try this to keep future ones from
being generated:
1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
2. On the Preferences tab, click E-mail Options and then click Tracking
Options.
3. Under "Use this option to decide how to respond to requests for read
receipts" click to select "Never send a response" and click OK.
