can't delete rules

I am trying to start fresh with my rules in outlook xp, now that i have a
little better understanding. The problem is i have 6 rules that i cannot
delete. I can't copy, modify, or delete them. When i click on one of the
rules, the only option available is "new".

What have i done? Can anyone help shed some light on how to delete the
rules.

Outlook xp pro running on windows xp home.

Also, from the main rules wizard screen, if i click "run now" at the bottom,
there are now rules in my box to select to run, even though i can see them
on the previous screen.

Sorry everyone. Ok, i can delete the rules by highlighting them and
clicking the delete button on my keyboard. So, i tried to start with a new
rule. I set it up. When i click run now, again there are no rules listed
in my list of rules to run.

I screwed something up. Please help.

Ok, i completely reinstalled office, thinking that would help, but the rules
from before are still there. I cannot click on "modify" for any of the
rules or see what they're actually doing. I can delete them, but something
is still not right. If i create a new rule, it still will not give me the
option to select if i click "run now".
