Has anyone worked it out yet sick of looking at stuck emailsn in my inbox get
to grips microsoft

Just hang in there. Later this month Microsoft is coming out with a
new email program (Windows Live Mail) that will replace Windows Mail.
Hopefully it will have fewer bugs.

This is BULL!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have to wait on a new program. Why dont they just
fix the one they have. I called Dell Tech Support since they are the
provider. They tell me that its not there problem and tell me to call
Microsoft. So I do, well to no suprise they tell me that if I want to pay
$59.99 they can fix it but other than that its not there problem and tell me
to call Dell back. So again I do, this time Dell says the same thing. "pay us
more money and we can fix it" I'm not paying a dime more.
Thanks for letting me rant cause I know all of you are in the same boat, but
Micros**t needs to do the right thing!!!!!!!!!

Agreed, but they won't.

Microsoft sucks. Always has, always will. They have always put out programs
before they were working properly.

Doh!

Name one OS that has never needed fixing?

Nah... on seconds thoughts...
don't bother because you are blocked.

Today I awoke from a beautiful sleep and actually thought that microsoft had
fixed this problem! Ah well back to bed and wait for another several months
before they take off their rose tinted glasses and actually recognise that
there is a problem. Sweet dreams everyone!!!!

I have had this problem for as long as I have had this computer which is
three months. I have had to call Delloncall twice to have them help me fix
it. It costs $150.00 for three calls to them. They end up uninstalling and
then reinstalling Winmail. So far, I am discusted with Microsoft and will
make it my life long goal to network and get the word out to buy Mac all the
way. Microsoft needs to get their heads out of their asses and fix this
issue now. Too many people have wasted thousands of dollars on
PCs. I will never buy a PC again.

Sincerely, Jen

and I have been trying to deleted it since March 19th. I selected notify me
of replies but I have no idea of how to use this site to resolve my problem.
Can someone help with this ?

What I mean is I have had many replies but none of them showed me how to
resolve the issue. And how do you use this site ?

Thanks in advance

Don't use the terrible web interface for this forum. Use the newsgroup
(Usenet) access. Click on this link:

Unfortunately, there's not much you can do about a message stuck in
the inbox. Mark it 'read' and ignore it for now.

Okay. Its Tools | Options | Advanced | Maintenance.

I was trying to help. You can keep creating user accounts and wait for MS
to provide a patch. You probably will create several user accounts while
you wait.

has windows been able to clear this up eyt it seems more and more people are
having the same problem!!

I've got the same problem... I didn't find any solution... Is Microsoft
aware about it ?

Please help us...

i spent six hours the first time & another four hours the second time . i now
have three emails that i cannot delete. the first one was just a couple of
weeks after i bought my new dell computer. i refuse to spend one more second
on the phone so i tell you MICROSOFT GET CRACKING AND DO YOUR JOB. I AM SURE
THAT THERE ARE THOUSAND SWHO ARE HAVING THIS PROBLEM TOO BAD ONLY A FEW ARE
COMPLAINING. I KEEP ON GETTING MESSAGES TO CONTACT OTHER CLIENTS TO HELP
OUT. I PAY YOU PEOPLE FOR THE SERVICE SO WHY SHOULD I GET HELP FROM OUT
CLIENTS LIKE MYSELF. WHY DO YOU ASK US FOR SUGGESTIONS ? I FOR ONE AM NO
TECHNICIAN AND MY COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE IS LIMITED.

If its such a pain to you, then if you had read previous messages in this
newsgroup you would know how to get rid of it.

The only solution is to wipe out the database. So go to Tools | Options |
Advanced | Maintenance | Store Folder to find the message store location.
Then move everything under that Windows Mail directory to another directory,
so that the Windows Mail directory is completely empty. Then restart WinMail
and it will open fresh with nothing in the database. You can then add your
accounts and if they work correctly then you can import messages from the
directory to which you moved the files back into WinMail (see
www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#wm2wm).

When you have a new PC and you have to do this weekly it's total BS. If I
had know about these problems I would have not bought a Dell or MS product
and went to an Apple. This problem has bee out there long enough MS should
have had a fix in place, and deleting your program and stating is not a
solution ONLT A TEMPORY FIX!!!
