HELP! Yes, the emails that could not be deleted are now gone after doing the
search, advanced search, etc. but where are my folders of saved emails?

Ok, I've found my saved email folders, BUT-big problem. Although the titles
of the emails are different, the context for all messages is the same. One
of my saved emails from each particular folder has attached itself to all of
the emails.

You leave WinMail open after it's through downloading and a folder will
appear named Recovered Messages into which WinMail will put all your
undeleted messages as it scans them to learn their contents.

Have you found a way to fix that problem? Also how do you find out if your
e-mails have been sent? I am new to this system and would appreciate any help
I can get.

Will you be disclosing the particulars of your issue, or is that a secret?
What have you tried so far?

You appear to be a new poster in this thread. Is your undeletable mail in
the Outbox? That is what the instructions you quote are for.

I had the same problem and was able to delete the offending messages in my
inbox by doing the following:
1. Close WinMail
2. Go the the Task Manager and look under applications and processes and
close all WinMail programs
3. Click Start -Search - Advanced Search
4. Check the boxto include non-indexed, hidden and system files
5. In the Name field type WindowsMail.MSMessageStore and click Search
6. Two copies of MSMessageStore will be there. Delete both of them.
7. Open WinMai
8. Your Inbox, Outbox and all other files there will be empty BUT you will
see new folders below that contain all that has been deleted and the items
you still want may be moved back into the normal folders.

It worked for me. Fred Smith

As others have reported, using this fix can result in new Recovered Items
folders being generated every time you open WM. Sometimes the
'recovered' messages are scrambled.

I am having the same problem with a message I cannot delete from the Inbox
and cannot view. The message came to me twice. One of the emails I still have
in my deleted folder - there was no problem viewing or deleting it. The other
just stays in my inbox and won't let me do anything with it. I am not
computer savvy and don't think I will try the Task Manager fix because it
involves deleting folders. Since this problem has been out there for months,
I'll wait to see if Microsoft comes up with an update to fix it.

I`m having the same problem, only it`s in the Drafts folder, I`ve tried
everything that has been suggested, some one even told me to change my virus
protector,& I`m still having problems.
