Cant delete a printer

[MS-News]

I have a printer that is locked in the state of 'deleting' but it wont
delete. Is there any method to force this printer to be deleted.

try
Start
Run
type
CMD
click OK

in the CMD window that opens type
net stop spooler
press enter

spooler will report when it stops

type
net start spooler
press enter

spooler will restart

hopefully that'll "flush" it?
