New Win XP with LAN - seems to be setup OK. Old Win 98 just can't find it,
although all files loaded OK from Win XP disc. Just can't find the protocol
to make the connection. Would appreciate some advice - do I want PPP,
TCP/IP, etc. What network component (Client for MS networks, MS Family
logon, Dialup adapter, MS PPP over ATM, etc, etc.) Really confused, no idea
what to do next
Thx

You should be using TCP-IP. The IP addresses should be
on the same subnet, for example 192.168.0.1, 192.168.0.2,
etc. Mask 255.255.255.0, or use DHCP.

Paul,
Thx much. W98 now recognizes main computer. Hooray! Now I can't find the
path to assign drive letter to. What is it looking for here - instructions
are minimal??
Thx again.
