IE works ok but when I try and close it the computer beeps and won't close. I'm using a cable modem. I logoff and back on still does the same thing. Anyone have any suggestions?

This can be caused by spyware/parasites. Work through the solutions
(CWShredder, Ad-aware, Spybot) at http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm Also note the security tips on that
page.
Or, look at other programs which might be interfering with IE. Disable (for
diagnostic purposes) ad-blockers, antivirus, toolbars and other add-ons for
IE. You may have to uninstall/reinstall one of them.
