Can't Access Website

I want to configure a DSL router through a web-based configurator. The
manual says to go to http://192.168.1.1 using a browser. I can't seem to
access the site. I keep getting the "Page cannot be displayed" message.

I'm using XP SP2 and Internet Explorer 6. Is there anything in particular I
should do in order to get into the site? Thanks in advance.

Given you are connected to said router, first do this:

Start button --> RUN --> type in:

cmd /k ipconfig /all

--> Click OK.

What is the DHCP Server address and/or the Default Gateway?

Including the make and model # of your router would have been helpful.

Are you able to connect to the internet through this router? If so, go to
Control Panel and double click on the Network Connections icon. In the Network
Connections folder, double click on the icon representing your Local Area
Connection. In Local Area Connection Status, click on the Support tab. Take a
look at what's listed under IP address. Is it 192.168.1.XXX? If it's not then
you're router is using a different subnet. Change the numbers you enter next to
Http:// accordingly.

Note: You can also find your IP address by doing the following.

Start -> Run -> cmd.exe -> IPconfig /all

Good luck

Some routers can be configured to disallow login via wireless. Perhaps
yours is.
Does the symptom persist if you connect to the router via ethernet?
That address is the default address of most routers. However, the address
can be changed.
What are the ip addresses for the computers?
