canon i865 printer

Looking for a new printer, and the canon i865 seems to have a good review.
Any good or bad comments on the printer?
One thing that puzzles me is the edge to edge printing on A4 paper on the
specification this is only obtainable on "photo paper"
Would like to get full A4 on standard paper, is it possible?
Thanks
Chris

I have a i850. It says it will do borderless printing on photo paper only.
It will do borderless printing on plain paper. If you select borderless
it changes the paper type, but alows you to then select any paper type
you want.

I've had this printer for a couple of months, replacing a very temperamental
Epson photo 750. Very impressed with print quality on all mediums. CD print
is excellent (ensure you buy inkjet printable CDs and not thermal
printable). Also have the duplex unit which works well though it does slow
printing a bit as it pauses for the ink to dry before printing side two
(variable setting).

On the i860 (same as the i865), borderless works fine on regular paper, but
you need to turn it on manually.

Is it only in the UK that you can get the one that prints on cds?

I believe Europe and Asia. If the printer is marked as i865, it can print
CDs. In North American, Canon sells the i860 which lacks the cd-print try.
