Canon BJC-6000 Paper Feed

Dear fellow listers,

I have the subject printer, which will not feed paper at all. When you
try to test print a page, the mechanism goes through the motions and
there's lots of noise and commotion, but the rollers will not grab the
paper. I've tried cleaning the rollers, setting the software for
automatic and, in short, tried everything that the Canon website and
fixyourprinter.com says to do, but nothing works.

I've been very discouraged with this printer and have not used it much,
so I know it's not a wear and tear issue.

Any ideas?

Sometimes the mechanism will get out of sync. With the power OFF, reach
in the input tray and find the pick up rollers. Large with a flat
spot. Push down on the back side of them and rotate one revolution.
Turn on again and see what happens.
