cannot send email

I have been using windows mail for more than a year now. Suddenly, I can
receive but not send emails--they automatically go to my outbox. One day it
was fine, then it just stopped sending. No settings have changed. No error
message appears. I tried a different outgoing server but no help.
Please help!

If there is an accumulation of messages in the Outbox folder, open
the Outbox folder. Move as many of those messages as you can to
the Drafts folder. If any message can't be moved or deleted, let us
know. Try sending a short message to yourself. If no improvement,
delete that mail account, restart Windows Mail, then recreate the
account. Accounts can get corrupted over time, often due to
interference from an antivirus program.

Which antivirus are you running? Some of them are not fully compatible
with Windows Mail.
As a minimum, email scanning in the antivirus should be turned off,
although that may not be sufficient to eliminate all bad effects.
In a worst case scenario, your antivirus may need to be uninstalled.
