Cannot open jpg files etc

Mel

Hi,

I used to be able to open picture in jpg or other formats but now I get told
that " this file does not have an associate for opening it. Create an
association in the folders options" I finally found this and it did have
windows fax finder associated with it but I changed it to something else to
try to open the files but still the same message. can anyone tell me why it
will not open the pictures in a programme?

Thank you
Mel

Go to "Tools", "Options", pick the "Security" tab, and uncheck the box
marked "Do not allow attachments to be saved...."

Oh update, this is pictures that come in via my email accounts.

Have you recently installed the beta Windows Defender program? You may
be experiencing a known issue. If this is the case, get help in one of
the newsgroups specifically set up for the program. See this MS webpage
for information about accessing those newsgroups:

If this isn't your case, then post back with what changed between the
time things worked and the time they didn't.
