Cannot login locally after recovery

Is there a way to apply a service pack from the command
line? I can Telnet to the box and get a command prompt,I
can use manaement console and get to it, however I cannot
logon locally after doing a recovery. I just get the
logon screen back when I attempt it. The servie pack
should fix the problem correct?

Did you try Safe Mode?
Did you try creating a new user? You can do that remotely
(sounds like you may have a damaged profile).
