Cannot log back in after locking PC,

Hi,

A user of ours cannot log back into his PC after he locks it (either manual
locking or time out), when he pushed CTRL+ALT+DEL the password box does not
appear.

Does anyone know which part of the registry controls that pop up box?

I don't believe there is any registry entry that controls that. It sounds
like some sort of operating system corruption and a repair install may fix
it.
