Cannot find server after ten minutes of surfing

Yesterday I upgraded from 5.5 to IE 6 and since then I have had trouble
staying connected.
I have broadband internet and I can access any web site immediately after
starting Windows, but after about ten minutes, no site can be accessed and I
get the 'Cannot find server page.
I have Avast antivirus and Kerio Firewall running.
Can anyone help?

It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware. **Post

http://forum.aumha.org/viewforum.php?f=30 for expert analysis, not here.**

Also update your virus definitions and then run a full system scan. From

I have been experiencing similar problems for quite some
time. In fact prior to the page not found problem my
system begins to display red X placeholders where the
graphics should be. I end up having to reboot. I think
the problem is related to system resources. I have
already done all of the things mentioned in the
respondant's reply and nothing has changed. I have no
viruses, I have an excellent rating on PCPitstop (which
btw is a great site for help and etc.), I have run
hijackthis, spybot, adaware and many many others. I have
also gone to the main microsoft help page and discovered
that we are not alone in this problem, and in fact
microsoft knows of this problem and says they do not have
a "fix" for it yet.
