Internet explorer stops finding web pages after ten minutes

When using internet explorer with cable it will find web
pages for about ten minutes after computer is restarted,
then stop. I get something like " The Web page you
request cannot be displayed"Attempts to solve include:
Virus scan (12 files could not be opened scan incomplete
on a total of about 60 items)
Run spyware detection removal program Spybot some 400
files found and removed
Run adware detection program (Ad Aware) some 300 file
found and quarantined
Run scandisc
Run defrag
uninstall AOL (problem may have started after installled
recently)
Cable did ping test seems to be no problem with cable

Hi Jim,

AOL doesn't use standard Windows DUN connections. You might check IE, Tools,
Internet Options, Connection. Make sure the connection you actually use is
selected.
