Cannot Capture video anymore through IEEE

For whatever reason I can no longer capture video from my sony video camera
with a firewire port. When I select capture video, it no longer recognized
my device. The same occurs with my pinnacle studio 8 application. All
firewire ports seem to be working without any errors. I've tried a new
firewire card and that still didn't work. I do not have any errors in my
device manager. My camera seems to be working correctly. I don't seem to
have a DV Device on my computer anymore. Within my "legacy capture devices
properties" all I have is "WDM Video for Windows Capture Driver (Win 32).

Any suggests on how I get this going again? Sony doesn't seem to have
specific drivers for digital video capture. THe camera model number is
DCR-PC115

Thanks

You do not get the xp ping when the cam is connected?
You do have the cam turned on in play position?
Can you try another cable?

Yeah, I have the camera set to VCR mode. XP no longer recognizes or prompts
me to do something with the camera. I've tried 2 ieee cables.

Should have read your first post in more depth!!
You say you do not have ieee1394 bus host controller listed, but all
firewire ports are working correctly? What are they listed as in device
manager?
