Video Capture Device Not Detected

I have a SONY DCR-TRV17 that has an iLink connection (IEEE1394/Firewire) and
I connect to my computer. Turn on the device and try to use MovieMaker to
capture video from the camera. When I go to capture I get the

"Video Capture Device Not Detected" error.

Any advice?

I checked Sony's site and found an USB driver but that is for the USB
connection to get to the memory card and not the tape.

Found my issue:

My computer has a 1394/Firewire port on the front of the box but internally
it isn't connected to the mother board. My particular mother board does not
support Firewire directly so I had to purchase a PCI card with Firewire
connector support.
