cannot boot with Windows XP setup CD?

I have a PC with nforce2 motherboard (ABIT NF7-S2G), Volari V3 display card,
IDE hds and cdrooms. I am trying to install Windows XP Pro on this PC. The
screen just shows the a message on the top of the screen "System is detecting
your hardware configuration..." then screen turns to blank and halt. Tried a
lot of time. Any solution? Thanks.

As it seems likely you have a hardware problem I'd suggest trying to resolve
it before going further. Installing on a malfunctioning machine will only
result in a broken install.

Try booting with a Knoppix or BartPE CD, and see if the machine will run
stably that way. You may have bad memory, or perhaps just a loose component.

If the problem is that the CD-boot approach won't work for some reason, try
booting from a DOS bootcd or floppy, and then:

D:
CD\I386
WINNT

I can boot with Knoppix, and I installed Fedora Core 4 too. Also Windows 2000
Pro can be installed on the PC too.

Cannot boot from Windows XP Pro CD.
