I need help getting Windows XP Pro to install on my
machine.

I have a home built PC with the following components:

Motherboard - ABIT KG7-RAID (BIOS DS 03/06/2003)
CPU - AMD Athlon XP 1800+
Memory - Crucial 1Gig
Hard Disks - Western Digital 200GB 7300 Drives In RAID 0
Video Card - Hercules 3D Prophet II GTS Ultra 64MB
Sound Card - SoundBlaster Live! Platinum
MPEG Card - SigmaDesigns Hollywood Magic
NIC Card - 3Com 3C905
USB/Firewire - OrangeMicro OrangeLink+ USB 2.0 & FW
IDE Card - Promise UltraTX2
DVD ROM - Pioneer 106
CD-RW - TDK VeloCD Rewriter (2 Drives)
ZIP Drive - Iomega ZIP 250

The Western Digital Hard Drives are setup on the ABIT
Motherboard IDE RAID interfaces in RAID 0. I have the
disks partitioned and formated as follows:

Drive C: Bootable - 200GB
Drive D: - 190GB
Drive E: - 10GB

I have the PC setup to boot from CD-ROM first, then Floppy
then RAID 0 Hard Drive setup.

The Windows XP Pro Setup routine starts, I see Setup
loading various startup files and then I see at the bottom
of the screen "Setup Is Starting Windows". Then the Setup
program just freezes and I can't get Windows XP to load.

Any ideas????

Any and all assistance would be appreciated.

Tom

I've never installed with a RAID setup, but at the start
of the setup it will tell u at the butten of the screen to
press F* to setup with RAID. u need to make sure that u
do this.

You might have to add the promise drivers when xp starts
to load. You will see a message at the start asking if you
need to add third party raid drivers push f6 then add them
when it asks for them and it should boot up for you.
